Welcome to our page!
This is our first shot at putting up a blog page. Our kids are whizzes, but we are old grandfolks.
We are currently enjoying an LDS couples' mission in Germany. Trying to think of what we could post from clear across the sea made us decide to share a couple of watercolors that Mama painted awhile back.
This one is called "Year of the Poppies".
This one is called "Little Purple Pansies" and reminds us of a favorite children's song.
1. Little purple pansies, touched with yellow gold,
Growing in one corner of the garden old;
We are very tiny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
Growing in one corner of the garden old;
We are very tiny but must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
2. In whatever corner we may chance to grow,
Whether cold or warm the wind may ever blow,
Dark the day or sunny, we must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
Whether cold or warm the wind may ever blow,
Dark the day or sunny, we must try, try, try
Just one spot to gladden, you and I.
Words: Anon.
